WATCH OUT FOR THESE PURPLE FLOWERS ACROSS BRIGG

Thousands of purple crocus plants were planted in Brigg a few months ago, as part of a Rotary Club initiative to help eradicate polio - a disease which has affected millions of people over the centuries.
Brigg Blog spotted the colour purple near the Grammar School Road entrance to Sir John Nelthorpe School. 
Watch out for others springing into flower at other locations across the town in the near future.
Brigg Rotary's worth efforts raised funds for polio vaccine through Purple4Polio. 

If you are wondering about the choice of purple, it is because when a child is immunised against polio, his/her finger is dipped in purple die to signfify they have been innoculated.
