BIGGEST GAME IN BRIGG CLUB'S HISTORY THIS WEEKEND

A Brigg sports club is now just one victory away from reaching the final of a national competition.
Brigg Hockey Club's men's first team will be playing in the semi-finals of the English Hockey Association's Men's Vase on Sunday (March 19).
Brigg will be visiting Leicestershire to take on Ashby De La Zouch at Ivanhoe College (1pm start).
We gather that among the Ashby playing squad is a goalkeeper with strong Brigg connections - a member of the Watson family.
This is the biggest match in the history of Brigg hockey, where the men's club was founded back in the late 1920s.
Brigg Town FC has twice won the national football Vase knockout competition, which may be an inspiration and perhaps a lucky omen for the hockey team this weekend.
