POP-UP CULTURE COMES TO BRIGG

Pop-up culture, rather than pop culture, has come to Brigg.
There's now a pop-up shop on Wrawby Street, run by Brigg Churches Together, and there are pop-up exhibitions at the Heritage Centre, recently given a grant for this purpose by Brigg Town Council.
Pop-up - in this context - appears to mean temporary.
The term first popped up in North Lincolnshire a couple of years ago when someone sought permission to run pop-up meal nights a few times a year in premises on the Isle of Axholme.
We remember having to look up what pop-up meant to council planners by undertaking a web search.
