BRIGG PEOPLE CAN GET DISCOUNTED RASEN RACE TICKETS

Many people from the Brigg area like to enjoy a day at the races.
One thousand discounted tickets can be snapped up by early birds for one of the most popular racing days at Market Rasen Racecourse.
Four times in the past seven years the largest attendance of the year at the Lincolnshire racecourse has been recorded at the July Ladies’ Day which features the Betfred Summer Plate.
For the first time in 2016 the racecourse has formed a partnership with Lincs FM for the fixture on Saturday, 16th July.
As is traditional, there will fashion shows, music from Marc Dillon and shops in which visitors can browse, as well as a beauty bar, plus - and new for 2016 - a live al fresco DJ set and Après Racing party from Lincs FM at the end of the afternoon.
One thousand County Enclosure tickets – which will cost £25 on the day – are being sold for £20 in a special offer. They can be purchased by calling 0844 579 3009 or going online at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk.
From Valentine’s Day, the racecourse is also seeking, via social media on Facebook and on Twitter @marketrasenrace, the “Face of Ladies’ Day”. The successful lady will take part in a photoshoot and feature in promotional advertisements for the Betfred & Lincs FM Ladies’ Day.
Nadia Gollings (pictured), General Manager, Market Rasen Racecourse, said: “Betfred & Lincs FM Ladies’ Day featuring the Summer Plate, the racecourse’s richest and most prestigious race of the year, in the middle of the summer is always one of our most popular occasions of the year. The County Enclosure is usually a sell-out, so visitors can guarantee their places by purchasing these 1,000 discounted tickets early.”
It’s also a day that attracts the cameras of Channel 4 Racing so the racecourse is in the national spotlight, with not only the Betfred Summer Plate but also the Betfred Summer Hurdle.
Ladies’ days are one of the great success stories of the horse racing industry, helping to boost attendances for the country’s second most popular spectator sport which attracted six million visitors across Britain last year.
Sam Heywood, Programme Manager, Lincs FM, said: “We are delighted to have come together in a new partnership with Market Rasen Racecourse this year. Betfred & Lincs FM Ladies’ Day is the ultimate social day out of the year in Lincolnshire, offering ladies the chance to dress up and meet their friends. Fashion and glamour are two of the most important ingredients of a racing day so we are looking forward to seeing some very stylish and glamorous outfits on Saturday, 16th July – and entertaining visitors afterwards with our live music event.”
Market Rasen Racecourse is staging 22 jump racing meetings in 2016 and is a leading conference and events centre in the East Midlands.  More information is available at www.marketrasenraces.co.uk

Shame East midlands trains can not keep up with demand, a number of times a single unit has worked the Market Rasen line when the races have been on, it's like a scene from Indian railways
