DONALD CAMPBELL JOINS BRIGG TOWN COUNCIL

Brigg has a new councillor - Donald Alexander Logan Campbell.
Councillor Campbell is seen here completing the final piece of paperwork necessary to make him a member of Brigg Town Council.
With him as he signs the document is Town Clerk Jeanette Woollard.
Councillor Campbell was welcomed to the authority by Town Mayor Councillor Carl Sherwood at the November meeting of the council, held in the Angel Suite.
The first question Coun Campbell had to answer was his preferred Christian name, which is Donald.
Brigg Blog congratulated the new town councillor on his appointment at the end of proceedings.
He told us he's 53, lives on Springbank, and work as a chargehand at the 2 Sisters factory in Scunthorpe.
Councillor Campbell has already accepted a place on one of the committees that these days make decisions on most of the items considered by the town council.
We look forward to reporting his views at future meetings as he settles into his new role.
Town councillors are unpaid and give their time for the benefit of the community.
Councillor Campbell fills the vacant seat resulting from the resignation of Sheila Boughey, of Scawby Brook.
This seat was uncontested, Donald being duly elected as the single candidate.
