BRIAN'S IS THE PLACE TO BE IN BRIGG TODAY

Later this morning (Saturday) Brigg Blog will be at Brian's DIY, in Wrawby Street, for the popular shop's Annual Open Day. We enjoyed last year's and this will be no different.
Santa's Attic Open Day  today features Flo the Clown, performing her magic shows at 11am and 2pm along with balloon modelling and face painting in the afternoon. Santa will be visiting the shop from 10am with his Christmas sleigh, as well a food, drink, a raffle in aid of Brigg L.I.V.E.S and carols sung by Brigg Amateur Operatic Society. The mayor, town councillors and local MP Andrew Percy will also be attending, we are told. See www.briansdiy.co.uk
Following that we have an invitation to leave town and visit Wrawby for the official reopening of the extensively refurbished Jolly Miller pub, on Brigg Road.
There's no home game for Brigg Town FC today at The Hawthorns, so that will give us the chance to process some pictures and reports this afternoon/tonight, including those taken at last night's Christmas Lights Switch-on, accompanied by the District Lions' Christmas Fayre and the late night shopping. We also visited the new Cafe Courtyard in the Angel, as did many customers.
Ken Harrison was also out and about in town with his trusty camera last night and will hopefully share some of his with us - being a kind man whose always in the Christmas spirit on the photography front. Hint, hint!
