SPADEWORK DONE ON SMALL ALLOTMENTS IN BRIGG

Part of the Grammar School Road allotment site.

Brigg has allotments off Grammar School Road and Atherton Way/Redcombe Lane, managed and run by Brigg Town Council. Due to high demand from green-fingered folk wanting to grow their own veg, there's a waiting list.
Now, in order to "meet the needs of the waiting list" and create plots of a more manageable size, a decision has been taken to divide vacant ones to create additional plots on the Grammar School Road site.
The rents for these newer, smaller plots is being worked out in proportion to what tenants pay for the existing, larger ones.
More information may become available about this talking point when Brigg Town Council's Property and Services Committee meets on Wednesday, July 11 in the Angel Suite Lounge from 7.30pm. This session is open to interested members of the public.
At 7pm on Wednesday, there's a meeting of the Brigg Town Council Planning and Environment Committee (also open to the public). Planning applications will be considered, including an application to erect a two-storey rear extension at 1 Colton Street.
