EGG-CITING DUCK PROGRAMME TO INTEREST BRIGG YOUNGSTERS

Duck Egg Theatre Company, which holds classes in Brigg, has planned a range of summer activities for young people aged 6-19 in North Lincolnshire over the summer holidays - billed as the 'Summer of Awesome'.
Funded by Children in Need and Awards for All, the projects target young people in rural isolation and aim to give young people in the region the chance to perform pieces inspired by their own stories.
Young people will have the opportunity to create their very own musical in just one week based on their own stories. They will then perform with a live band at The Plowright Theatre, Scunthorpe, on 1st September.  Rehearsals are 6th-10th August at The Ropewalk, Barton Upon Humber, 10am-3pm.
Or if Musical Theatre isn't their thing, they can take part in a play that will be written, rehearsed and performed in one week - quite a challenge!  They will rehearse from 13th-17th  August, 10am-3pm at Melior Community College, Scunthorpe, and perform on 1st September at The Plowright Theatre.
Haley Cox, Education Director, said "Both projects cost only £20 for the whole week and performance, that is less than £4 a day to work with professional acting and vocal coaches, create an amazing show, get a chance toreally have their voices heard through the story of the pieces and have anawesome time doing it."
Duck Egg Theatre Company are also running play in a week projects in partnership with The Buzz Youth Arts Festival week commencing 30th July and START week commencing 20th August.
Their regular Acting School classes (Glee Club, Acting and Musical Theatre) across North Lincolnshire - Brigg, Barton and Scunthorpe - are now open for new members to start in September. The first class is free and students work towards two shows per year and optional LAMDA examinations.
