We spotted these Christmas trees in Queen Street today. Hopefully they haven't been too badly damaged by the adverse conditions and can be re-hung at a later date.

Since then he has umpired as a member of the Scunthorpe panel. He is results secretary of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League, chairman of the Broughton Evening League and supplies cricket content for the Scunthorpe Telegraph, the Grimsby Telegraph and the Lincolnshire Echo. Nothing wrong there, Scribs.
It's a rare species of an Australian Christmas tree (antipodus erectus).
They're especially useful when floor space is limited - you can hang them from the ceiling.
One distinct advantage is that you can easily vacuum fallen needles from the ceiling
Some folks, however, prefer its cousin - paries parietis (house wall fir) - a horizonal variety that shouldn't, for health and safety reasons, be hung at eye-level.
