Two well-known Brigg structures are to receive  some tender loving care, courtesy of the Town Council, which is also looking to take on a popular riverside green space, pictured above.
At East Park -  on the edge of the town centre - The Tin Tab communal seating shelter is to be repainted in the not too distant future.
Despite the local nickname, it is made of wood and requires a fresh coat from time to time.
Close by, the Monument war memorial will be renovated next year - ahead of the 100th anniversary of the guns falling silent during the First World War in 1918.
An application will be made to North Lincolnshire Council for a grant to support this worthy project for the landmark on the A18.
Meanwhile, discussions between the Town Council and the North Lincolnshire authority about the Millennium Green, on Elwes Street, are almost complete.
Brigg Town Council is looking to take over management of the green near the Old River Ancholme.
Originally, this was done by volunteers from a trust.
