BRIGG SEEKING INTERIM TOWN CLERK


Following the resignation of the Brigg Town Clerk, our Town Council is now advertising for someone to take over.
The vacancy being advertised is for an Interim Town Clerk on a salary of £19,378, to work 27 hours a week.
Brigg Town Council says it is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified person to act as Interim Town Clerk for a period of not less than six months while it reviews options for the longer term appointment.
The post is based in the Angel office complex, in the town centre.
The closing date for applications is noon on Monday, April 24.

During the Town Council's latest monthly meeting, brief mention was made of the resignation of current Town Clerk, Claire Davis.
Claire took over in June 2015 following the retirement of long-serving Town Clerk Jeanette Woollard, who had occupied the post for 22 years.
Brigg Town Council - formed in the early 1970s - has had relatively few Town Clerks.
Other holders of the post including Louis T Jarratt and Joseph J Magrath.
