GREAT DAY FOR BRIGG

An illustrated feature article about the current Brigg Recreation Ground refurbishment is prominently displayed in the November issue of the Active Places Monthly Newsletter, emailed to people across the east midlands.
There's even a small credit at the foot of the story for Brigg Blog, which helped supply some information and contact details for the development being undertaken by North Lincolnshire Council.
Brigg's Coun Carl Sherwood (pictured) is quoted in the story, as Cabinet Member for Health and Wellbeing.
The project to revamp the Rec, off Wrawby Road, will be completed within the next few weeks.
Many people are asking about the opening date, but this has yet to be revealed by the council.
It will be a truly great day for Brigg sport when the new Rec, with its floodlit all-weather pitch and tennis courts, is up and running.
We've also been asked whether the facility will get a new name or carry on being Brigg Recreation Ground.
We shall see.
