MEALS FIT A KING JUST OUTSIDE BRIGG
We recently paid our first meal-eating visit for some years to a pub/restaurant on the outskirts of Brigg.
Very good fare, too, was served up at the King William IV, Scawby Brook, washed down with a couple of pints of well-kept Timothy Taylor Landlord real ale (we weren't driving!).
They've extended the dining area since we last picked up a knife and fork at what the locals call the King Billy.
Our only regret from this new year visit was not sampling Tuckers Ice Cream, locally made and well-publicised within the pub.
We'll make a mental note to do so next time.
