The now-closed leisure centre premises on the corner of Spring's Parade and Market Place, Brigg.
A tall building fronting onto Brigg Market Place is concerning town councillor Mike Campion.
He highlighted the state of the currently closed leisure centre/cafe on the corner of Spring’s Parade.
He also sought an update on the sale of 7 Market Place – put on the market some months ago by North Lincolnshire Council as being surplus to requirements.
Coun Campion was concerned that, with time, that building “could become shoddy.”
Coun Rob Waltham – a member of the unitary authority and the Town Council – agreed to seek information from North Lincolnshire Council on both issues.
He reported back at the October meeting of Brigg Town Council in the Angel Suite, saying a letter had been sent out about tidying up the premises mentioned earlier by Coun Campion and confirmed 7 Market Place was still up for sale.
7 Market Place, which North Lincolnshire Council has put on the market. So far, no takers.

During a recent discucussion I claimed that there were over 10 premises in and around Brigg centre that are closed, or unused, or waiting to be let.
I was challenged, and was informed I was wrong...
So here's my list:
1. ex 'Tiny Tots' in the Market Place
2. The old arcade (covered in the article) and the adjoining cafe in Springs Parade. (2 shops)
3. A shop that has been closed for some years and is boarded up in the Market Place.
4. The NLC building - at the junction at Cary Lane/the Market Place.
5.DDM's old offices in Wrawby St - to be let.
6. 2 shops in College Yard - said to be awaiting conversion to offices.
7. Brown & Co auction rooms - following their move.
8.A 3-fronted shop in Wrawby St.
9.A shop bordering Old Courts - to be let.
10. The Fish Inn/Queen's Arms pub
11. A shop down Chapel Yard - empty after 'Abodes' relocation on Wrawby St.
I have not included, the Brock Ox, or the shop that has been converted into a house on Bigby Road about 2 years ago. Nor have I included 'CoCo'.
My list may not be exclusive, but represents about 10 percent of Brigg's shops.
....add to this, 'Wendy's' lock-up premises in Cary Lane being given a notice to quit.
