New public seats should soon be installed at Brigg Cemetery, to replace those removed because they were in a very poor state.
Following complaints raised with Brigg Town councillors, Coun Rob Waltham, who holds Cabinet rank at North Lincolnshire Council, volunteered to see what could be done at unitary authority level, as North Lincolnshire runs the cemetery, off Wrawby Road.
Giving an update to fellow town councillors meeting in the Angel Suite this week, Coun Waltham said the work was in hand, having gone through "the tender system" - with North Lincolnshire Council meeting the cost.
That prompted a request to see whether the unitary authority might also consider provision of litter bins at the cemetery.
Coun Waltham said he would "take that on" and deliver an update to town councillors in due course.
