The staff and students of Brigg Kumon Centre say a sad farewell to a popular classroom assistant who has helped dozens of children with their maths and English studies over the last few years.
An ex-pupil of Sir John Nelthorpe School in Brigg, Lauren Holmes, of Scawby Brook, has worked after school on Tuesdays and Fridays at the Brigg Kumon Centre for three years. In this role she has supported students of all ages and abilities to acquire confidence in reading and number skills. She is leaving to continue her studies at John Leggott College in Scunthorpe.
Craig Cook, Instructor at the Brigg Kumon Centre said: “Lauren is a valued member of the team and is well regarded by the students for the support she has given them. She will be greatly missed. We all wish her well in her future career.”
A celebration is planned for Lauren’s last class on August 30th. All ex-students of the Brigg Kumon Centre are invited to call in between 3.30 and 5.30pm to wish her well.
Kumon works to improve children’s skill set, unlocking their potential, inspiring a passion for lifelong learning and building the self-confidence to achieve both in and outside the classroom.
