BOATS BEWARE

This tree has been in the Old River Ancholme, near the White Hart, for some days now. Doubtless someone in authority will have it safely removed before too long. Ancholme Rowing Club members will be able to steer round it OK.

Needs to be removed b4 the duckies start nesting in it.

Ducks will be checking out potential nesting sites right now . This one would be ideal if the river level was a constant all year round . But as we know the level can rise and fall dramatically . Only consolation is that a good flood would see off the tree all the way to Ferriby.
