PRIME SITE IN BRIGG SOLD

A prime site in Brigg town centre has changed hands.

Comprising buildings and car parking, the former Anglian Water depot, off Grammar School South, was sold at auction by London-based agent Savills on Wednesday afternoon (December 16).
Ahead of the sale it was suggested this L-shaped site was "of interest to owner occupiers and developers" - subject to the necessary planning permission being obtained.
Anglian Water, which has now confirmed the sale, declared the former depot surplus to requirements.
It had become increasingly under-utilised due to a change in working methods and shift patterns, to an extent that it was no longer needed by the local operational teams, the company told Brigg Blog.
The Brigg depot carried a guide price of £150,000; the identity of the buyer(s) and how much was paid when the hammer went down have not been revealed.
