BRIGG PUB VISITS RULED OUT OVER EASTER BUT WE UNDERSTAND WHY

Brigg Blog raised a pint glass of shop-bought bottled ale on Saturday night to local pubs and bars which were out of bounds over Easter due to the Coronavirus emergency government ban.
That's not to be taken as a criticism of the shutdown; we are just stating an obvious fact of life in the current climate. One that has to be accepted.
All Brigg pubs have beer gardens which would otherwise have been busy in sunny and warm weather as people enjoyed the pleasant conditions.
Pictured above is Wetherspoon's south-facing beer garden behind the White Horse; it would have been the most used over a normal Easter bank holiday.
The Black Bull's beer garden with its palm trees and cabanas (wooden shelters) would have been another popular choice, together with the Britannia's, where the entry gate beyond the Bigby Street archway remained shut.
Let's hope it's not too long before things improve and the government can remove the restrictions that were put in place towards the end of March.
