NEW SCHEME TO KEEP BRIGG RIGHTS OF WAY NETWORK NEAT AND TIDY

Brigg Town Council is considering whether to accept an offer to join the North Lincolnshire Council Parish Paths Scheme.
This will allow parish and town councils to identify the grassy public rights of way they feel should be cut and say how often.
Cost savings to the public purse are to result, it is suggested, and the areas will be kept well-tended and tidy by contractors.
Some other local councils have already decided to take advantage of the offer, while others are expected to do so in the near future
Brigg Town Council's latest meeting received a detailed presentation about the Parish Paths Scheme.
A working party of town councillors will now take a detailed look at the proposal, which will be considered at a future meeting.
