BRIGG SPORTS FANS PLANNING AWAY DAYS

Cricket fans from the Brigg area may be interested in watching Lincolnshire's forthcoming home game in the Minor Counties Eastern Division.
Lincs will be playing a three-day fixture against Cambridgeshire at the Chichester Road ground in Cleethorpes starting on  Sunday,  July 8 (from 11am).
There are no trains to the resort from Brigg on Sunday, but you can get a mid-morning one from Barnetby station at 9.20am or 10.19am on Monday and Tuesday morning which will take you to the resort.
You can then get a bus down to the ground, or enjoy a walk along the sea front (turn right just past the Leisure Centre into Chichester Road).
Those going by car will find parking available on the ground at DN35 0HZ.
"As reigning Eastern Division Champions, Lincolnshire will be looking for a victory following their recent defeat by Norfolk at Sleaford," Lincolnshire CCC chairman Chris Keywood told Brigg Blog.
Lincs will select from the following squad: C. Wilson (captain and wicketkeeper), K. Bansal, S. Evison, M. Fowler, C. Free, D. Freeman, C. Jones, N. Keast, J. Kendall, J. Kimber, L. Kimber, B. Shafayat, A. Willerton.
Cleethorpes Cricket Club has a very fine ground, with licensed clubhouse (pictured above), for those spectators wishing to enjoy a drink or two.
There is also a pub/restaurant across the road.
