Brigg Town Council has agreed an important change to how Remembrance Sunday will be observed in November 2018.
During its February meeting held in the Angel Suite on Monday evening, the authority agreed 11am as the time at the Monument war memorial, rather than noon.
The change will bring Brigg into line with most other communities across the UK.
Brigg's parade and church service will also be earlier this year - times yet to be announced.
Proceedings will then culminate with the two-minute silence at the war memorial at 11am, to be followed immediately by the wreath-laying.
The change follows consultation by the Town Council with various Royal British Legion members, and others.
There was no debate about about the time change at Monday night's meeting, councillors having discussed this topic on a number of previous occasions stretching back many months.
Brigg's Remembrance Sunday parade forms up on Station Road, near Hewson House, and marches to St John's Church for the service.
The parade then reforms and proceeds to the Monument, where a bugler sounds the Last Post.
Brigg Town Council recently applied for listed building consent to clean the memorial, re-gild the memorial plaques and re-point exposed joints with lime-based mortar.
That application is now being considered by North Lincolnshire Council, the local planning authority. The Monument is a grade two listed structure.

We would like to thank Brigg Town Council for changing the timings for the Remembrance Sunday Parade to now come in line with the rest of the country.
I have been asking for this to be changed since myself and a few others reformed the Royal British Legion in Brigg.
