Re the Marshall's Trophy.....donated by Sir Arthur Marshall, and engineer and aviator.
He established Marshall's, the famous aircraft repair depot in Cambridge - on Newmarket Road - Generally called called 'Marshall's' while less commonly called Cambridge Airport.
Good place to watch a whole variety of civil and military aircraft flying about....
Down the road, on the M11 is Duxford - well-worth a visit for viewing historic aircraft, or a flight in a Tiger Moth..

.....and Marshall's build the unique nose for Concorde in the 60's.....the nose cone had to droop on landing as the glide angle was steep and the pilot would not have been able to see the approach if the nose didn't hinge downwards...
