15 NEW JOBS IN STORE FOR THE BRIGG AREA AS SCAWBY CO-OP NEARS COMPLETION

The new Co-op food store in Scawby taking shape in February 2019 - see Nigel Fisher's Brigg Blog

In a few weeks the Brigg area will welcome another Co-operative store to join the ones at Broughton and Hibaldstow.
Above is a very recently picture showing work in progress on the  £1.2-million Lincolnshire Co-op food store on West Street, Scawby.
It will open its doors to customers in late April 2019.
Plenty of provision will be made for car parking beside the convenience store, which is now recruiting 15 staff - a very welcome boost for employment within the Brigg area.
The Co-op has built a number across North Lincolnshire but Brigg Blog continues to be surprised that our town has not (so far) been added to the growing stores portfolio.
In the 1960s we recall visiting the long-since-closed Co-op store midway along Glebe Road - later re-purposed and currently occupied by a pre-school/nursery.

I concur with the above comment. I currently have two Co-op loyalty cards, one works in Caistor, the other in the Louth Eastgate store. I have no idea which if either will work in Scawby. Have not yet tried Hibaldstow either!
