New Year 2019 has started with one of the best-known niche/speciality shops in Brigg closed to customers and put up for sale as a going concern.
Many locals will be hoping that someone steps forward to take it on.
Proprietor of Sankey's Sweet Shop on Wrawby Street, Natalie Sankey has taken to social media and placed a message in the shop window to thank her customers.
Saying she was feeling emotional, Natalie explained it was with very mixed emotions that she had made the difficult decision not to continue with the shop and to close its doors.
Natalie recalled that opening the business some years ago had been "a dream come true" for her.
"Whilst it hasn't been without its challenges, it has brought me a lot of fun, laughter and happiness and I have so many good memories," she added.
"Most of all I have met the most amazing people and have made some incredible friends and I hope that you will all keep in touch.
"I have put so much of my heart, time and commitment into the business that I have decided I would be happy for someone to buy the business as a going concern."

For Natalie it is now "time for a new challenge and new adventures."
Brigg Blog reported the shop's official opening in September 2011, and the colourful nature of its products have provided us with some nice pictures ever since, as it also has for Ken Harrison, of Brigg Matters Magazine.
Lit up for Christmas, we always feel the sweet shop adds a Dickensian/Victoria appearance to that part of Brigg town centre.
The jars of sweets on display behind the counter also bring back happy childhood memories for those of us of a certain age.
There aren't that many old-fashioned sweet shops about these days.
Brigg Blog, which is one of the shop's customers, hopes to see it back open again under new ownership in the not-too-distant future.
Here's a sweet selection of Brigg Blog pictures taken at the shop since it opened for business in 2011.
