Gloomy articles by some media outlets - along the lines of 'batten down the hatches' - certainly did not ring true in our small area of the country. Thanfully.
However, the slushy pavements are slippery in places. So please mind how you go in Brigg today. You don't want a fall and a trip to hospital A&E, which is under pressure at this time of year.
The stiff northerly wind, coupled with a temperature not far above freezing, is making conditions unpleasant if you have to be out and about.
We took the above picture soon after 9am near The Monument, looking across the A18.
Maybe further snow will fall later today.
Link to forecast from Met Office outlining the likelihood of snow...

Wot's this about no snow problems, Nige?!
I had a rude awakening this morning; I was expecting a delivery from Turnball's, the building merchant, but the ever-so-efficient company decided to arrive at 7.50am....during a raging stowstorm..there was snow and wind everywhere.....but it only lasted 15 mins, just long enough to offload and put my building material in the garage.
During the squall, I think I saw the perverbial brass monkey running down Grammar School Road shouting. 'Snowballs', or something similar!
