NO SNOW PROBLEMS IN BRIGG - THANKFULLY

Just a light covering of snow was on view this morning in Brigg - but there's no doubt that the weather will remain the number one talking point in  town today. 
Gloomy articles by some media outlets - along the lines of  'batten down the hatches' -  certainly did not ring true in our small area of the country. Thanfully.
However, the slushy pavements are slippery in places. So please mind how you go in Brigg today. You don't want a fall and a trip to hospital A&E, which is under pressure at this time of year.
The stiff northerly wind, coupled with a temperature not far above freezing, is making conditions unpleasant if you have to be out and about.
We took the above picture soon after 9am near The Monument, looking across the A18.
Maybe further snow will fall later today.
