PART-TIME JOB IN BRIGG YET TO BE SNAPPED UP
There was some surprise at Brigg Town Council's latest meeting when Town Clerk Dinah Lilley reported that no applications had been received for the new role of handyperson, despite considerable publicity.
The authority is seeking someone to act as a contractor to the council on a self-employed basis for a maximum of 10 hours per week. An hourly rate of £9.50 will be paid.
The successful contractor, will provide their own transport, telephone, tools, equipment and insurance.
The work involves some weekly, fortnightly, monthly and seasonal work. Some of the role is planned, with other jobs being allocated as required.
The job includes amongst other tasks, DIY, painting, strimming, weeding, bin emptying, litter picking and routine maintenance work.
