LATEST BRIGG CRIME FIGURES RELEASED BY POLICE


Crime has risen in Brigg - latest official figures show.
Statistics released through www.police.uk show there were 62 crimes reported within a one-mile radius of the town centre during May 2018.
That compares to 47 in April.

MAY 2018 (AS LISTED BY THE POLICE)

  • Anti-social behaviour 12
  • Bicycle theft 0
  • Burglary 4
  • Criminal damage and arson 10
  • Drugs 0
  • Other crime 4
  • Other theft 4
  • Possession of weapons 0
  • Public order 10
  • Robbery 0
  • Shoplifting 4
  • Theft from the person 0
  • Vehicle crime 1
  • Violence and sexual offences 13
However, of the 62 crimes listed for Brigg by www.police.uk 17 were reported beyond the town border - on/near the Waters Edge estate.
Within Brigg's boundary,  14 crimes took place in the town centre during May and  there were 10 others on the Springbank estate.
By way of comparison...
During May 2017 there were 72 Brigg crimes, while 47 took place in May 2016.
