RAIL BOSS RESPONSIBLE FOR BRIGG TRAIN SERVICE TO TAKE ON NEW ROLE

Alex Hynes - the railway boss responsible for the passenger train services operating through Brigg - is moving to a new post elsewhere in the UK.
The current managing director of Arriva Rail North is to take charge of a large operation north of the border later this year.
Brigg rail line campaigner Paul Johnson reckons Alex is the first managing director to visit Brigg station, which only sees passenger trains on Saturdays. And Paul, of the Friends of the Brigg Line, has provided this picture of the MD to make his point.
We wish Alex well in his new role.

Since we can't comment on the white line outside the Buttercross, there is a connection with railway lines, so I'll make a comment....
I saw the wide white line..it was still tacky and the surrounding area was like images on Harry Potter' Maurading Maps.
There were white shoe/boot prints going off in all directions; there was one trail leading to Scalinis, others meandering about in the direction of the Lord Nelson.....there was even a trail of wheels of a child's push-chair disappearing along Wrawby St.
It was a mess.
Ok, so there may be a need to highlight a trip hazard, but paint needs a minimum ambient temperature to dry; cold, damp conditions was obviously not the time to decorate the steps with a white line.
Anyway, railway lines get leaves on the line!!!
