Brigg Blog was walking home on Saturday afternoon after taking some footie pictures at Sir John Nelthorpe School - Briggensians v Santon - when we spied lights on in the former Bella Pizza takaway at the corner of Princes Street and Bigby Street, premises which had been closed for many months. Someone was also having a look through the window.
We crossed over and joined him to view the price list on display through the glass when a member of staff inside summoned us to the entrance and handed us a menu apiece.
That was 3.40pm. And when would the new Kebabish takeaway be opening?
In 20 minutes!
Following that evening's visit to the Yarborough Hunt and the Britannia, we made a point of visiting the fast food outlet for a small takeaway. Just to support this new venture, you understand!
We consumed the final chip as we reached home and put the wrappers in the wheelie-bin.
Kebabish is now open seven days a week, from 4pm, offering pizzas, calzones, burgers, wraps and (of course) kebabs.
