When Brigg blog was still swinging a stick for the town's hockey club and turning the arm over for Brocklesby Park Cricket Club, one of our clubmates was John Brumby. We still see him from time to time in Brigg with his Scrubbys Crisps.
So we were delighted to open up a copy of this week's Sunday Telegraph Business Supplement and see a fine article about John and his wife, Scrubbys co-founder Claire, including a colour picture of them together.
They failed to get investment from TV's Dragons' Den TV programme last year but it appears that businesses is booming and sales have soared. Their crisps are stocked by Waitrose, among others.
