TOWN CENTRE TRIBUTE TO BRIGG WW1 HEROES

Impressive and informative display boards at various locations in Brigg town centre give information about some of the  town heroes of the First World War.
We photographed these yesterday in the Market Place, Wrawby Street and Queen Street/Bigby Street.
The information included on them has been gathered by the Sir John Nelthorpe History Team.
It’s to be hoped that as many present day residents as possible take a minute to read the boards and reflect on the contribution made to the cause by these war heroes.
You can also find out more by visiting the exhibition at Brigg Heritage Centre, in the Angel complex, off the Market Place.

The history initiative has been supported by Brigg Town Council,  the Royal British Legion and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
