SLIGHT BRIGG SIGN ADJUSTMENT WOULD HELP KEEP TRAFFIC MOVING

Perhaps someone in authority could take a quick look at the positioning of the temporary yellow road sign on the A18 near the pedestrian crossing outside the Old Police House, on Wrawby Street, Brigg.
Pedestrians arriving at the "pelican" have their view blocked of traffic approaching from the Monument. This means they have no option but to press the button to change the lights, even if no vehicles are approaching.
Move the sign just a few yards towards the lay-by outside the old courthouse and we can save some vehicles being stopped at a red light when there's no need.
The yellow sign is there to warn HGV drivers they have to take a detour along Bigby High Road (A1084) while repairs are being undertaken to the A18 railway bridge between Melton Ross and Kirmington.
We were going to take a picture this morning to illustrate our point but as we were about to do so the lights changed to green and we had to hurry across. If there's no action taken on this over the next few days we will endeavour to get a pic to prove our point.
