PRAISEWORTHY FEATURE OF NEW WETHERSPOON PUB IN BRIGG

Work to transform the old White Horse  in Brigg town centre into a new JD Wetherspoon pub is coming along well. And it was a pleasant surprise to see the pub chain has used these pantiles on the roof of the rear extension. They look sufficiently "weathered" to blend in well with the Conservation Area, being visible above the wall between the hostelry and the A18.
The pub will reopen to customers in late January 2015, serving food and drink.

The roof looks nice but it's really just some rows of tiles for show. The plans reveal it's a flat roof.
