WILL BRIGG GET CHRISTMAS PRESENT OF BIGGER TREE?

Christmas past in Brigg Market Place
There have been some negative comments in the past about the size and location of the Christmas Tree which takes pride of place in Brigg Market Place. Some people have also suggested a few more lights on the branches would be welcome.
Brigg Blog takes the view that we are fortunate to have what we have.
Whereas many parish, town and even district councils have long since given up having a tree and lights, due to the expense and health and safety requirements, Brigg continues to have a festive centre-piece.
Brigg Town Council recently agreed to buy new lights so the town's biggest spectator event of the year, run in conjunction with the District Lions and with assistance from North Lincolnshire Council, is secure for  years to come.
