HAVE YOU BEEN TO THE NEW LIDL STORE IN BRIGG YET?

The new Lidl store in Brigg opened its doors to shoppers yesterday, Thursday. Despite the very kind letter from the firm inviting Brigg Blog along for the ribbon-cutting by Town Mayor Councillor Carl Sherwood at 8am we were unable to get there. However, we did pop in yesterday afternoon to tour the premises and undertake a spot of shopping. First impressions are more spacious than the Lidl store off Spring's Way that closed on Wednesday,  with additional checkouts. The store was very busy yesterday.
We like the walkway under the Ancholme Way A18 bridge and, having parked up at Lidl,  took a walk into Brigg, along the Old River Ancholme towpath, to visit a cashpoint before returning to the store.
There's a full report, pix and video from the opening day available through this link

.....travelling along Barnard Avenue, towards the Scawby, very early on Tuesday, the new illuminated Lidl's sign looked like a strange moon, low on the horizon....then I noticed that there were two 'moons'.
Quite surreal.
