So the New Year has arrived and the caravan-dwellers who have been parked on Station Road, just outside North Lincolnshire Council's Hewson House office block in Brigg since before Christmas, are still there.

Since then he has umpired as a member of the Scunthorpe panel. He is results secretary of the Lincolnshire County Cricket League, chairman of the Broughton Evening League and supplies cricket content for the Scunthorpe Telegraph, the Grimsby Telegraph and the Lincolnshire Echo.
