Brigg Town Council has agreed to buy three big new litter bins for the Old Courts Road car park. They will be placed on existing bases.
The current bins (example pictured above) will be cleaned and some will be redeployed at different locations.
The new bins hold 240 litres; the current ones are only 110 litres.
This issue was discussed during the council's July meeting, held last night (Thursday, July 16).
There will still be five bins serving the car park once the big new ones have been installed, but the 240-ltr bins will ensure that much more rubbish can be catered for than is the case at the moment.
