H-AWAY THE LADS: TAKE THE TRAIN TO WATCH BRIGG TOWN FC

Fans of Brigg Town Football Club can enjoy an away day to watch the Zebras this weekend. And there's an opportunity to leave the car at home and sink a few pints, if that appeals.
Brigg are visiting Rossington Main, near Doncaster, on Saturday (January 25) and supporters can get there and back on trains from out town's railway station - the cost being £12.70p (return).
Having arrived by train at the Doncaster Interchange, they can then use Nos 55/56 buses that run every seven to 10 minutes to the West End Lane football ground.
Coming back, Brigg fans will have about 45 minutes to an hour's wait for the 6.37pm train from Doncaster to Barnetby, giving them time to get something to eat either in the Frenchgate Centre opposite the railway station or to have a drink in the Railway Pub. They can also manage a quick one in Barnetby's Whistle & Flute, opposite the village's railway station.
Here are all the times...
OUTWARD: Leave Brigg on the 11.48am Northern company train (platform two - far platform) bound for Sheffield; get off at Retford (platform three) at 12.27pm. Walk up to the higher level main part of the station and board the 1.01pm train from platform two, bound for Harrogate, arriving in Doncaster at 1.15pm.
RETURN: Depart from platform eight, Doncaster railway station, at 6.37pm (TransPennine service bound for Cleethorpes) arriving in Barnetby at 7.18pm. Depart 7.43pm on the Northern service bound for Sheffield, arriving in Brigg at 7.48pm.
