SIX OF THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO CLEARING BRIGG LITTER

Community-minded litter-pickers from Brigg feature in an  illustrated article in the latest Countrywise newsletter from The Campaign to Protect Rural England - Northern Lincolnshire.
It says that all generations are involved from what's described as The Woodbine Estate.
"They are a group of residents who have decided to take action about the litter where they live," says the CPRE. "They started off with four members but now have six."
Two pictures have been used to illustrate the article, both taken by Ken Harrison, of Brigg Matters Magazine, and used in an earlier Brigg Blog post on this topic.
The one above, taken on Hawthorn Avenue, shows John Colby, of Central Square, and his great-granddaughter.
Our thanks go to Coun Jane Kitching, of Woodbine Avenue, for sending us a copy of the online newletter including the article headed Local Litter Heroes.
