BRIGG TOWN CRICKETER HITS CENTURY IN COMPREHENSIVE AWAY WIN

An unbeaten century from Matthew Bell, pictured above, helped Brigg Town to another comprehensive victory in  the Lincolnshire County Cricket League yesterday (Saturday, June 30).
Division four leaders Brigg won by 139 runs on their visit to Keelby 2nds.
Town did not make the best of starts but rallied to make a telling 219 for eight in their permitted 45 overs.
Bell finished undefeated on 116, while Owen Dunderdale added a handy 25 low down the order.
After tea, Keelby lost both opening batsmen without a run on the board - and their top five all failed to reach double figures.
Despite the lower order doing somewhat better, Keelby were all out for 80 in the 31st over - meaning that Brigg again claimed the maximum 20 points on offer.
Liam Redmond, who began his career at Brigg but spent many years at Scunthorpe Town, has now returned to the fold and returned  fine figures of four for 11 in 11 tight overs.
He opened the bowling with Nick Beacock, who claimed two for 28.
Playing for Keelby was former Brigg wicket-keeper batsman Andy Sharp.
