Hundreds of Brigg folk will be watch televised coverage of England's vital World Cup football clash with Columbia tomorrow (Tuesday, July 3).
Some will stay at home to do so while many others will be visiting local licensed premises to sink a few pints in the company of fellow supporters as the drama unfolds.
Tuesday's match in Russia is in the "round of 16" - the first of the knockout stages leading to the showpiece final.
England expects that every man will do his duty.
That, of course, is a saying made famous by Admiral Lord Nelson aboard his flagship in 1805.
Is the fact that it was HMS Victory and our town boasts a Lord Nelson hostelry and Hardy's Cafe Bar a good omen?
On a more serious note - and following our recent post about Humberside Police breath-testing local drivers - football fans watching tonight's game must watch their alcohol intake to ensure they are safe to get behind the wheel early tomorrow.
If in doubt, and you need to get to work, local buses or taxis might be an option.
