Many people in Brigg who are interested in sport will remember when our town had a thriving Saturday senior football set-up.
Brigg Amateurs fielded three teams at its zenith, while the White Horse had a couple, playing at Brigg Rec.
Today, there's only Briggensians FC - based at Sir John Nelthorpe School.
We have our fingers crossed that more Brigg teams will come on the scene in the future, once the Rec has been revamped.
Memories came flooding back when we received an email this weekend from what's now called the TSW Printers Scunthorpe & District Football League, to saw its AGM will be held at Redbourn Club, Cemetery Road, Scunthorpe, on Thursday 9th June at 7.30pm.
The annual meeting is when new teams seeking membership have their applications considered.
