BRIGG 'GRIDLOCKED FAR TOO EASILY'

Brigg gets gridlocked far too easily, someone posted on Twitter today (Tuesday).
We made two journeys this morning and can report:
First time: Traffic  backed up along Barnard Avenue, Wrawby Street (east) to the Monument and then down Bigby Road as far as the car lot.
Second time: Queueing as far as King's Avenue.
Hornsby Travel, the bus company, posted a message saying that due to a broken down lorry at Scawby Brook, some of its bus services were being delayed.
So was that breakdown the cause of the backed up traffic?
In our case, maybe we should have left the car at home and walk into town!
