HSBC wants to upgrade the ATM at 27 Market Place - a listed building.
The company says: "As part of HSBC’s ongoing refurbishment programme it is proposed to replace the external ATM at this site because it has reached the end of its service life."
North Lincolnshire Council will now make final decisions on whether to grant planning permission and listed building consent.
