ADDED SECURITY PLANNED AT MAJOR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT IN BRIGG

Greater security is to be added at the main health headquarters in Brigg by health trust bosses - if planning permission is granted.
Consent is being sought for the erection of a boundary wall at Health Place, off Wrawby Road.
Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust and North Lincolnshire Primary Care Trust have submitted the application to North Lincolnshire Council.
Bosses want the go-ahead to install a 215mm thick brickwork wall with 450 x 450mm piers between to the rear of the office block (the converted former Glanford Hospital) and the adjoining property.
The wall will be stand 2.4m at its highest point, if approved, and be 100m long.
It will be constructed in red brick, similar to the lower front wall on Wrawby Road.
Brigg Town Council has raised no concerns about the application, with North Lincolnshire Council having  the final say.
A decision is expected in the not too distant future.

WE HAVE BEEN OUT AND TAKEN SOME PIX OF THE PROPOSED SITE THIS MORNING. WE'LL SHARE THEM WITH BRIGG BLOG FOLLOWERS WHEN WE REPORT THE DECISION REACHED BY COUNCIL PLANNERS.
