CONKED OUT COP CARS IN BRIGG WERE NOT TWO JAGS, LORD PRESCOTT

We copped a look at an unusual sight on the A18 in Brigg this afternoon.
Two apparently conked out police cars were being taken through town on a tow truck.
The one at the back was Y-reg and the other appeared to be a similarly senior member of the fleet.
We have no evidence to link the two vehicles seen on Barnard Avenue to Brigg police.
Nor did we get the makes of car, but can confirm they were not Two Jags.
Lord Prescott is among the candidates seeking the post of Humberside Crime and Police Commissioner in November's elections.
Whoever gets elected might like to take a look at the average age of police cars.

Perhaps I shouldn't say this, but some clapped out old police cars are used as decoys on such places as vulnerable all-night petrol stations....particularly in the inner cities.
To the passing criminally inclined, the decoy cars can give the impression that bobbies have called in for a chat with the cashier.

I saw a Y-reg police car being taken in for some work to be done on it in Scunthorpe quite recently. Let's keep an eye on the registration plates of cop cars we see out and about.
