Brigg town centre will be welcoming back more business from Coronavirus lockdown today (Monday, June 15).
These re-openings are in line with a decision on certain classes of premises made by the government which applies nationally.
Among Brigg businesses which will be welcoming calling customers from today are the Wardrobe (clothing), the Rabbit Hole (book shop), Tech Box (phones & repairs), A. C. Pailthorp (jewellers), Brigg Beds and long-established family firm Pickerings.
Social distancing will apply in all cases.
There's still a long way to go before we can say that things are back to normal.
Pubs and bars across the UK continue to await a date to resume serving and the best estimate now appears to be 'not before July 4.'
When licensed premises do open again there will be distancing and other rules to be observed which may not be considered workable or economically viable by all venues. We shall see.
