PLAN TO PROVIDE NEW BRIGG FLATS IS WITHDRAWN

A scheme which was seeking permission to build new flats in Brigg has now been withdrawn.
North Lincolnshire Council was considering the application when this happened, with a decision expected to be taken by the Planning Committee made up of elected councillors from across the district.
The application was for two three-storey flats, with parking at ground floor level, on land to the south of a garage on West Terrace, off Bridge Street.
Brigg Town Council objected, its reasons including alleged 'overdevelopment of the site.'
A submission to the North Lincolnshire Council, accompanying the planning application, suggested this new housing would greatly improve the visual amenity of the area - the land currently being used for parking - and pointed to the provision of
much-needed affordable housing in Brigg.
