Five new homes for the Brigg area have been approved by North Lincolnshire Council.
Outline permission has now been granted by the local authority's Planning Committee for land near Wheelgates, off Brigg Road, Hibaldstow.
The local Parish Council objected - highlighting the site's location outside the village's development line.
A North Lincolnshire Council planning officer's report suggested this development could contribute towards meeting a proven shortfall in the provision of housing land in the district.
The detailed report recommended granting permission, and the committee agreed.
